LG Group Donates 2 Billion KRW for Recovery in Areas Affected by Heavy Rainfall
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] LG Group announced on the 9th that it has donated 2 billion KRW to the Community Chest of Korea to help restore areas damaged by the recent prolonged heavy rains.
An LG official stated, "We hope to contribute even a little to the recovery efforts so that the disaster victims who have lost their homes and are struggling due to the heavy rains can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
LG Group affiliates have also launched emergency relief efforts such as free repairs of flooded home appliances and support for daily necessities.
LG Electronics has established a service base in Daejeon, where the heavy rain damage is severe, and is providing free repair services for flooded home appliances.
Last month, service engineers visited affected households mainly in the Yeongdeok and Pohang areas to repair home appliances free of charge.

LG Household & Health Care, together with its subsidiary Coca-Cola, donated 6,000 sets of daily necessities including toothpaste, shampoo, and laundry detergent, as well as over 8,600 bottles of drinking water to Chungnam Province.
