In this medical volunteer activity, about 10 participants including professors Kim Moon-kyu (Pediatrics), Kim Jong-kwan (Surgery), Kim Yoon-hwan (Radiology), Han Sang-hwan (Dentistry) from Yonsei University Severance Hospital and nurses provided medical services to over 100 local residents at village halls in Moro, Yuhyeon, and Jangmyeong.
Yonsei University Severance Hospital, as part of a commemorative project for patriot Daeam Lee Tae-jun, a graduate of Severance Medical School from Haman, has been continuously conducting volunteer activities through a mutual cooperation agreement with the county since 2011.
They offered medical services including internal medicine, dentistry, and pediatrics, such as diagnosis and prescription for internal diseases, ultrasound examinations, oral checkups, scaling, and intravenous therapy. On the second day, the 8th, Jo Geun-je, the mayor of Haman-gun, visited the Yuhyeon village hall to express his gratitude to the medical volunteer group for their beautiful acts of kindness for the local residents.
Mayor Jo said, "I am very grateful that you traveled far to Haman to check on the health of local residents and volunteer for the elderly," adding, "This volunteer activity by Yonsei University College of Medicine will greatly help improve the health of the county residents who have limited access to medical benefits."

Meanwhile, Lee Tae-jun (1883?1921), a native of Haman-gun, is known as the 'patriot with a stethoscope.' During his time at Severance Medical School, he met Dosan Ahn Chang-ho and joined the secret organization Shinminhoe. In 1914, he opened a hospital called 'Donguiuiguk' in Mongolia to support independence activists traveling between China, Russia, Manchuria, and the Korean Peninsula.
