Introduction to Grape-Based Home Party Dishes
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Nonghyup and the Korea Grape Association held the '2020 Grape Day' event on the 7th at the Nonghyup Distribution Yangjae Branch.
Grape Day is an event organized annually around August 8th, which resembles the shape of a grape cluster, by Nonghyup Economic Holdings and the Korea Grape Association since 2008 to promote consumption.
At the event, various recipes were introduced to enjoy home party dishes using grapes, along with information on the benefits of grapes and tips on selecting delicious grapes. Grapes contain antioxidants such as ▲resveratrol (anti-aging and anticancer effects) ▲anthocyanin (prevention of heart disease and stroke) ▲polyphenols (antioxidant action).

Ha Gyu-ho, chairman of the Korea Grape Association, said, “In a situation where grape consumption is decreasing every year due to the spread of imported fruits, we are doing our best with grape farmers to produce new varieties and high-quality grapes that consumers want,” and added, “We hope consumers will use a lot of delicious and safe domestic grapes.”
