Assemblyman Lee Byung-hoon Secures 1.9 Billion Won for Administrative Complex Center Construction and More
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Representative Lee Byung-hoon (The Democratic Party of Korea, Gwangju Dong-gu Nam-gu Eul) announced on the 5th that he secured 1.9 billion KRW in special grants, including 600 million KRW for the construction of the Gyerim 2-dong Administrative Complex Center in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, 500 million KRW for the creation of the Baegun Square aerial walkway, and 400 million KRW for the improvement of safety railings along Gwangjucheon.
Representative Lee stated, “The new administrative welfare center, which will provide resident-centered lifestyle and cultural services, can be built in time for the move-in period of the Gyerim 7 District redevelopment residents,” and added, “The creation of the Baegun Square aerial walkway for a people-centered pedestrian space is expected to revitalize the commercial district.”
He also said, “Installing safety railings to prevent accidents for citizens using Gwangjucheon was urgently needed,” and added, “Citizens will be able to use Gwangjucheon safely.”
The Gyerim 2-dong Administrative Complex Center is scheduled to be constructed in time for occupancy in the first half of next year.
Once the Baegun Square aerial walkway is created, the previously disconnected surrounding commercial areas will be linked, which is expected to help revitalize the local economy.
