40s Man Breaks Window with Pickaxe During KBS Radio Live Broadcast 'Commotion'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] During a live KBS radio broadcast, a man caused a commotion by breaking the studio's glass window.
According to the police on the 5th, at around 3:40 PM that day, a man in his 40s, presumed to be an outsider, broke the glass window on the exterior wall of the studio with a pickaxe at the open radio hall in front of the KBS main building in Yeouido.
At the time, KBS Cool FM (89.1 MHz) 'Hwang Jungmin's Music Show' was being broadcast live from the studio. The broadcast was a 'visible radio' live stream, and the sound of the glass breaking was transmitted over the radio waves.
Hwang Jungmin, the DJ, left the studio, and guest Kim Hyungkyu finished the broadcast instead. The man who damaged the glass was reportedly subdued by the police who arrived on the scene and KBS staff.
