Kim Geun-sik: "Kim Jin-ae Realized She Can't Control Real Estate Either... The Height of Irresponsibility"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Regarding Kim Jin-ae, a member of the Open Democratic Party, saying in the plenary session that "it doesn't matter if house prices rise, just pay your taxes well," Kim Geun-sik, chairman of the Future United Party's Songpa-byeong district committee in Seoul and professor at Gyeongnam National University, criticized it as "the height of irresponsibility."
On the 5th, Professor Kim said on Facebook, "The phrase 'it doesn't matter if real estate prices rise' is more problematic than 'just pay your taxes.'"
He pointed out, "When the remarks made in yesterday's plenary session became controversial, she changed her words, saying it was not directed at the public but at United Party members. This is typical of the ruling party's specialty of 'blaming others' and 'denial.'" He added, "They blamed the real estate issue on the previous administration, construction capital, banks, multi-homeowners, and even Seoul as the capital city. Yesterday, Representative Kim even added blaming the '20th National Assembly for not passing the bill'."
Professor Kim criticized, "In the end, when the arrogant remark to just pay taxes regularly angered the public, she showed a 'denial skill,' claiming it was not directed at the public but at the opposition party. It's like a drama where someone insults you to your face and when you get angry, they slyly deny it, saying it wasn't meant for you."
He continued, "The bigger shock in yesterday's remarks was not the high-handed attitude of just paying taxes but the 'height of irresponsibility' in saying it doesn't matter if real estate prices rise. After announcing policies dozens of times, suppressing demand, imposing tax bombs, regulating jeonse (key money deposit) and loans, and reassuring non-homeowners and tenants not to worry because house prices would be controlled, now they say it doesn't matter if real estate prices rise?"

He said, "Following Representative Jin Sung-jun (Democratic Party) revealing his true feelings, it seems Representative Kim also realized that the government cannot control real estate prices. Isn't this the ruling Moon administration's true intention to just collect taxes and freely conduct helicopter money drops since they can't control real estate prices anyway?"
