National Geographic Expands into North America and Europe
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] The National Geographic Apparel, operated by The Nature Holdings (CEO Youngjun Park), has signed a product supply license agreement with National Geographic in the United States and North America and Europe, entering the markets of the US, Canada, and Europe.
National Geographic Apparel plans to launch clothing, bags, and travel carriers in these markets within the year. Additionally, it is preparing to enter Australia and New Zealand in the second half of this year, and aims to expand its reach to China and Japan in 2021 to accelerate its overseas expansion.
A brand representative stated, “National Geographic’s global recognition is already well established in the global market, and with the high preference for Korean fashion, we expect a positive response from local consumers,” adding, “We will accelerate our overseas expansion to secure new momentum and pursue long-term growth.”
Meanwhile, National Geographic Apparel directly entered Hong Kong last August, opening its first standalone store in Tsim Sha Tsui, and this year added another standalone store at the SOGO department store in Causeway Bay. Through ‘Momentum Sports,’ a leading outdoor and sports product distributor in Taiwan, it currently supplies products to eight stores across Taiwan.
