Naju City Accepts Nominations for 'Citizen Award' Until the 18th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yuk-bong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 5th that it is accepting recommendations for this year's Citizen Awards for citizens and expatriates who have contributed to the development of the nation and local community until the 18th of next month.
The Citizen Awards will select one person each in five categories: ▲ Regional Development ▲ Social Welfare ▲ Loyalty and Filial Piety ▲ Industrial Economy ▲ Education and Culture.
Nominees must currently be registered residents of the city and have lived there for more than one year, with clear achievements in the relevant field. Recommendations can be submitted to the General Affairs Division of City Hall through the heads of city offices, departments, townships, neighborhoods, or local institutions and organizations.
However, those who have been recommended for the same achievement within the past two years, those sentenced to imprisonment or higher, and previous awardees are excluded from eligibility.
The final recipients will be selected through the Citizen Award Merit Review Committee and will be honored at the "26th Citizen's Day Event" on October 30.
Application forms and required documents such as recommendation letters and merit reports can be obtained from the township or neighborhood office of the applicant's address or from the announcement section on the city hall website.
Mayor Kang In-gyu said, "The Citizen Award is intended to officially honor those who have quietly dedicated themselves to the development of the nation and local community," and added, "We hope for the interest and participation of public institutions and civic groups so that many proud citizens can be discovered."
