Shinsegae Duty Free Extends Validity of Unused Gift Cards Due to COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Shinsegae Duty Free announced on the 4th that it will extend the validity period of gift cards that could not be used due to the prolonged impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Considering the restrictions on overseas travel as well as the use of duty-free shops, Shinsegae Duty Free will extend the validity period of gift cards until December next year to minimize inconvenience for consumers. The gift card is a physical card used at Shinsegae Duty Free's offline stores, with a validity period of one year.

The extension is automatic without any separate application process, and the cards can be used immediately at the time of payment. Most of the eligible cards were purchased by customers last year, totaling approximately 200,000 cards.
