According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 3rd, a woman in her 20s, Ms. A, residing in Sangmu Line Daeju 2nd Complex, Chipyeong-dong, Seo-gu, was confirmed positive this afternoon.
Ms. A is the wife of the 202nd confirmed case in Gwangju, who tested positive last month on the 23rd.
Since the day her husband was confirmed positive, she was classified as a close contact and was under self-quarantine. When symptoms such as loss of smell appeared, a specimen was collected and tested on this day.
The 202nd case had contact with the 197th case, and the 197th case had contact with the 192nd case. The infection route of the 192nd case has not yet been identified.
Meanwhile, since the second wave of COVID-19 began in Gwangju on the 27th of last month, 173 people have been confirmed positive.
