Woori Bank Partners with Naver to Launch Mobile Number Ticket Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Woori Bank announced on the 3rd that, through a partnership with Naver on the 30th of last month, it will provide the number of waiting customers at Woori Bank branches on Naver Maps and implement a mobile queue ticket service.
By searching for Woori Bank on Naver via mobile, users can check real-time waiting information for major branches in the Seoul metropolitan area. Additionally, on the detailed page for each branch provided by Naver, customers can conveniently obtain a mobile queue ticket through Woori Bank’s information page before visiting the branch, making banking services more convenient.
This is the first time in the domestic financial sector that real-time waiting customer numbers for each branch can be checked through an external channel rather than the bank’s own channels, and it is advantageous that this information can be accessed on Naver, the largest portal site in Korea.
Open API refers to standardizing and programming a company’s data and services to share them with third parties. Woori Bank and Naver can provide customers with accurate real-time information through the Open API method.
Meanwhile, Woori Bank is preparing a service that provides estimated waiting times by time slot for each branch through big data analysis to enhance customer convenience.
