Seoul Jamsugyo Pedestrian Access Restricted... "Avoid Vehicle Movement Due to Rising Han River Water Levels"
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Seoul City announced that from 3:10 PM on the 2nd, pedestrian access to Jamsugyo Bridge will be restricted. This measure comes as the water level of the Han River has risen due to increased discharge from Paldang Dam following rainfall upstream of the Han River.
Seoul City will first restrict pedestrian access and, if the water level continues to rise, will also restrict vehicle traffic.
Pedestrian access will be restricted when the water level at Jamsugyo Bridge reaches 5.5m or higher, and vehicle traffic will be restricted at 6.2m or higher.
To prevent safety accidents, Seoul City urged citizens to refrain from using riverside roads, Jamsugyo Bridge, Banpodaegyo Bridge, and other Han River bridges.
