72nd Confirmed Case in Mok 4-dong... Transferred to Seoul Medical Center, a National Designated Hospital
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) has reported its 72nd confirmed case of COVID-19.
The 72nd confirmed case in Yangcheon, Mr. A, was found to have been in contact with the 96th confirmed case in Songpa on the 24th of last month and had been under self-quarantine since the 26th.
Mr. A tested negative in the first test conducted on the 27th while under self-quarantine, but symptoms such as mild fever and muscle pain appeared on the 28th. A retest was conducted at the Yangcheon-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the morning of August 1st, and he was finally confirmed positive at 8 p.m. the same day.
On the morning of the 2nd, Mr. A was immediately transferred to Seoul Medical Center, a nationally designated hospital. The public health center’s disinfection team plans to promptly complete disinfection of the residential area in Mok 4-dong and its surroundings.
The district informed one cohabitant of Mr. A that they are subject to self-quarantine and COVID-19 screening tests. The test was conducted on the 2nd, and the results are currently pending.
With this, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Yangcheon-gu has reached 72.
