[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) has opened the ‘Songpa Future Education Center Building 5’ to provide creative, future-tailored education in preparation for the 4th Industrial Revolution era, accelerating the cultivation of future talents.
As the need for future-tailored education to nurture talents ready for the upcoming non-face-to-face and digital industry era after COVID-19 has grown, Songpa-gu has rolled up its sleeves to support this.
To this end, Songpa-gu held the opening ceremony of the ‘Songpa Future Education Center Building 5 (2nd floor of Machon 2-dong Community Service Center)’ on July 29.
On that day, the district held a ‘Future Education Roundtable (Theme: Hopes for Songpa Future Education)’ attended by nearby school principals, parent representatives, and students, exchanging various opinions including the need to develop systematic educational programs that can provide practical help for youth career exploration.
The ‘Songpa Future Education Center’ is a hub facility for Songpa SSEM, the district’s own education model promoted as a core project of the 7th local government administration.
The newly established Building 5 was created with designated donations from Samsung SDS’s community return project supporting youth IT education. It has a total area of 270㎡ and is composed of the Creative Convergence ZONE, Cultural Media ZONE, and Informatization Education ZONE.
At ‘Songpa Future Education Center Building 5,’ various future industry-tailored educational programs such as ▲AI coding ▲3D printing ▲VR ▲robotics ▲video production are available.
Additionally, professional staff are prepared to assist those unfamiliar with using the equipment.
Furthermore, the district plans to open ‘Songpa Future Education Center Building 6 (Garag 2-dong Heart Heart Foundation Headquarters)’ on the 13th in cooperation with Samsung SDS, focusing on functional support aligned with new educational trends.
