Shall We Learn BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) Choreography This Summer Vacation?
Seongdong Culture and Arts Experience Center Runs August Summer Vacation Programs Online and Offline Simultaneously... BTS 'K-pop Dance' and 'Neon Sign Making' Programs Offered
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seongdong-gu (Mayor Jung Won-oh) is simultaneously operating summer vacation programs in both online and offline formats for students and parents during the summer break, organized by the Seongdong Culture and Arts Experience Center.
The Seongdong Culture and Arts Experience Center is located in the 2nd Seoul Creative Arts Education Center, which opened in April 2018 inside Dongmyeong Elementary School. It is one of Seongdong-gu's representative regional experience centers where students can easily access cultural and artistic programs nearby.
This summer vacation special lecture consists of a ‘K-POP Dance’ class learning choreography from BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) and a ‘Neon Sign Making’ course.
In particular, considering the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the program will be operated interactively both online and offline to comply with social distancing and other quarantine rules and to provide students with learning options.
The sessions will be held from August 5 to 20, and students can choose between face-to-face or non-face-to-face classes.
For face-to-face classes, the number of participants will be limited to eight or fewer, and the program will be conducted safely while adhering to quarantine guidelines such as social distancing and wearing masks during classes.
Additionally, to maintain safer distancing for students, the program will be held not in the existing classrooms of the Seongdong Culture and Arts Experience Center but in the large auditorium on the 3rd floor and the creative learning room on the 2nd floor of the Seongdong-gu Office.
Online classes will use the Naver Band live platform, allowing participants to easily experience the program in real time from home.
Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “With the reopening of the Culture and Arts Experience Center, which was suspended in the first half of the year due to COVID-19, I hope this helps students on vacation discover their talents and creativity,” adding, “In the second half of the year, we will prepare more diverse art experiences and cultural activities and spare no support in nurturing future cultural and artistic talents.”
