Jeongeup-si Installs Public Wi-Fi at Naejangsan National Park
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 30th that it has installed public Wi-Fi in Naejangsan National Park.
This is a public Wi-Fi construction project aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Jeonbuk's representative tourist destinations. The city invested 200 million KRW, and the Jeonbuk Cultural Contents Industry Promotion Agency commissioned and carried out the project.
The locations where public Wi-Fi has been installed this time are four places: Naejangsan commercial district, tourist information center (ticket office), exploration information center, and Naejangsa Temple.
As a result, the total number of places where public Wi-Fi can be used in Jeongeup has increased to 109.
Visitors and citizens can search for Wi-Fi regardless of their telecom provider and select ‘Jeongeup Naejangsan’ to use 1-gigabit bandwidth Wi-Fi for free.
The city expects that the expansion of public Wi-Fi will become a key pillar of digital communication and the activation of non-face-to-face services, which have become important after COVID-19.
Additionally, by providing online tourism services that match the latest travel trends to tourists, it is expected to contribute to revitalizing the local commercial district through improved information accessibility.
Along with this, there is also an effect of reducing communication costs, and it is expected to be well received as a convenient place for many users as well as citizens.
