The Artificial Intelligence Comprehensive Support Center provides a one-stop service package that includes providing office space for AI companies, attracting investment, technology development, workforce supply, and consulting in legal, patent, finance, and management fields.
Gwangju City has so far signed business agreements with 16 AI companies with global competitiveness, and among them, 8 companies have established corporations and opened offices in Gwangju, accelerating the creation of an AI-centered city.
In particular, with the opening of the Comprehensive Support Center on this day, it is expected that the implementation of the Gwangju-type AI business model will gain further momentum by solving the difficulties of AI companies through a one-stop service.
The Comprehensive Support Center will form a mentoring group consisting of experts in technology, business, startups, finance, and law, and operate a mentoring program that provides customized support services tailored to each company's situation.
The mentoring program will be divided into an ad hoc program to solve problems that are difficult to address through the one-stop support service and a regular program for the proactive development of AI companies. In the future, it plans to expand into global mentoring linked with overseas specialized institutions.
Kim Seon-min, Director of Gwangju Technopark, said, “We welcome inquiries from companies planning or starting businesses using AI technology, and we will strive to resolve difficulties faced by companies wishing to start up and provide proactive support through the one-stop service.”
