Goheung-gun Signs $1 Million Entry Agreement with US Amazon
Expanding Export Markets in Line with the Post-Corona Era
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 30th that it signed a business agreement with Amazon vendor company Kreassive LLC (CEO Sean Chang).
Amazon is the world's largest e-commerce company, ranked number one in global brand value for two consecutive years since 2018, and is used by more than half of all households in the United States.
Since COVID-19, its corporate value has increased by more than 40%, leading the post-COVID era as a global platform.
In line with the rapid growth of the online market due to COVID-19, the county signed this agreement with Kreassive LLC, an Amazon vendor company, to list agricultural and marine specialty products on Amazon and expand domestic online sales through platforms such as 11st and Post Office Shopping, aiming to utilize global online platforms for marketing.
Going forward, Goheung-gun and Kreassive will actively cooperate to achieve $1 million in sales within two years by starting with five local companies listing "Goheung Yuja" as a star product in the Jeonnam Province brand pavilion on Amazon, discovering various items and companies such as pomegranate, seafood, and processed oat products, and providing brand marketing and consulting for smooth sales of listed products in the U.S. market.
At the signing ceremony, CEO Song Jae-cheol (Eden Food Agricultural Cooperative Corporation) said, "I am pleased that Goheung Yuja was designated as a star product and listed on Amazon," and added, "I am grateful for the administrative support that allowed us to enter a giant platform like Amazon, which has high entry barriers."
County Governor Song said, "Although the distribution channels for agricultural and marine specialty products are generally difficult due to the economic downturn and market contraction caused by COVID-19, we must wisely cope with the crisis," and stated, "Using this agreement as a stepping stone, we will focus administrative efforts on strengthening the competitiveness of Goheung's agricultural and marine specialty products in the online export market, pioneering new markets, and raising Goheung's brand value to increase residents' income."

Meanwhile, under administrative leadership, Goheung-gun is promoting various policies to develop sales channels for agricultural products, including supplying agricultural products to large marts (Lotte Mart Super, GS Retail), expanding online promotions (11st, Post Office Shopping), and supporting promotional expenses for new market buyers.
