According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 30th, a 44-year-old man who returned through Incheon Airport on the 28th tested positive at Yeongcheon Public Health Center the next day and was admitted to Andong Medical Center.
Accordingly, as of midnight on that day, the number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area increased to 1,357 (38 in Yeongcheon City). The number of recovered patients and deaths remained the same as the previous day at 1,293 (95.4%) and 58, respectively.
In the Gyeongbuk area, sporadic overseas inflow cases have continued, including a man in his 30s who entered Pohang City from Mexico on the 19th, a woman in her 30s who entered Chilgok County from the Philippines on the 20th, a 65-year-old Uzbek man who entered Yeongju City from the United Kingdom on the 23rd, a 62-year-old man who entered Andong City from Africa on the 26th, and a 47-year-old Uzbek woman who tested positive upon release from self-quarantine at Gyeongju Public Health Center on the 27th. The confirmed case on the 19th was the first in 13 days.
