Free Distribution of 12,000 Hygiene Masks (For Cooking) to Over 9,000 Food Service Establishments... Campaign Promoting Mask Wearing and Sharing Food to Strengthen COVID-19 Prevention
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Park Seong-su) is distributing 12,000 transparent hygiene masks free of charge to all food service establishments closely related to residents' daily lives as part of strengthening COVID-19 daily quarantine measures, and is conducting a campaign to encourage sharing food on personal plates.
The district plans to provide 12,000 transparent hygiene masks (for cooking use) to about 9,500 food service establishments, including general restaurants, snack bars, and bakeries, within this month.
Since February, immediately after the outbreak of COVID-19, the district has distributed hand sanitizers to all establishments within the district, which are vulnerable to infection, and has guided business owners on quarantine rules they can follow themselves, such as wiping tables and hygienic management of spoons and chopsticks.
This project was prepared to prevent the spread of infection by creating a safe environment through free distribution of cooking masks to food service establishments facing the burden of purchasing masks due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the intensified avoidance of dining out.
In particular, under the slogan "Wise Songpa Life," the district is also leading a campaign to improve food culture and establish a safe dining culture by encouraging residents to share food on personal plates and other measures to actively participate in COVID-19 daily quarantine.
