Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Conducts Safety Consulting for Large Hospitals
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Im Jongbok) announced on the 23rd that it will conduct fire safety consulting for 24 large hospitals in the district until the 29th.
This consulting was prepared to eliminate fire risk factors in hospitals in advance and to raise safety awareness among related personnel following the numerous casualties caused by a hospital fire in Goheung-gun, Jeonnam on the 10th.
The main contents included checking the proper maintenance status of fire facilities, encouraging the early installation of mandatory fire facilities (sprinkler systems and automatic fire alarm systems) required for hospital-level medical institutions, preparing evacuation guidance measures tailored to each hospital's circumstances, and focusing on response plans for various disaster situations.
In addition, Gwangsan Fire Station plans to regularly conduct realistic tabletop exercises simulating fire situations for six general hospitals in the district to strengthen their on-site response capabilities to hospital fires.
