Homeplus Proposes Virtual Gourmet Journey Instead of Sky Travel
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Homeplus Online Mall announced on the 23rd that it will hold a two-week “Online Taste Vacation” event until the 5th of next month, showcasing representative foods from around the world.
This event was organized with the purpose of easing customers’ disappointment over not being able to travel abroad during the vacation season due to the COVID-19 pandemic through an “online gourmet journey.” During this period, Homeplus Online Mall has prepared over 300 types of representative foods, ingredients, and desserts from popular travel destinations such as the United States, Europe, Vietnam, China, and Taiwan.
As representative American foods, New York steak paired with asparagus is offered exclusively on the online mall with an additional 1,000 KRW discount, priced at 6,990 KRW. Montblanc plain bagels, Johnsonville smoked brat sausages, and frozen shoestring potatoes are also on sale at discounted prices.
European imported cheeses, butter, and more are also available at affordable prices. These include signature Quattro Cheese Rose Spaghetti, Montblanc frozen croissant dough, All For You macarons, Ristorante Quattro Cheese Pizza, and Denmark Alla Cream Cheese Light.
Vietnamese pho and fresh spring rolls are also featured. Products include Pulmuone Vietnamese pho, Ottogi cup noodle Vietnamese pho, Mon fresh spring rolls, Real Thai fresh spring roll packs, and Trung G7 black coffee.
To soothe the longing for a trip to Taiwan, ingredients for mango shaved ice, bubble tea, and biscuits are prepared. These include Irum apple mango, Nugano biscuits, Sushinbang pineapple cake, Heytang Zhenzhu brown sugar bubble tea, and 3:15PM original black tea.
Representative Chinese foods and ingredients include Ottogi Lee Kum Kee hot pot mala soup base, mala boneless chicken gangjeong, and Pulmuone juicy dumplings.
