Urban forest maintenance is a project that enhances the value of green resources such as urban parks and forests to help preserve the urban ecosystem.
From August to November, the project will be conducted in the fields of ▲parks and forests (41 people) ▲roadside green belts (10 people) ▲river ecological forests (15 people).
Applicants wishing to apply should prepare the application form and other required documents and submit them in person at the Parks and Greenery Division (5th floor) of the district office. The application period is from the 22nd to the 24th of this month, and the application form can be downloaded from the district website.
The eligibility criteria require applicants to be residents of Gangbuk-gu, aged between 18 and 69 as of the announcement date, and registered as job seekers at employment security centers or similar institutions.
Since there are various qualifications and required documents, applicants must carefully check the announcement posted on the district website (under the recruitment announcement section).
After document and interview evaluations, the final selected candidates will receive wages based on this year’s minimum wage (8,590 KRW/hour) for an 8-hour workday (40 hours per week). They will perform different tasks in three areas: pruning, removal of harmful plants and invasive species along riverbanks, and weeding. To facilitate smooth adaptation to work and enhance expertise, they must complete more than 50 hours of safety and competency training.
