Naju Mayor Kang In-gyu Holds 'Ontact' Open Dialogue with New Employees
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Kang In-gyu, mayor of Naju City, Jeollanam-do, held an 'Ontact Open Dialogue' with new employees born in the 1990s on the 17th.
Ontact is a concept that adds 'connecting with the outside through online' (On) to Untact, which means non-face-to-face, and is gaining attention as an online (video) communication method in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era.
Mayor Kang invited about 40 rookie employees born in the 1990s working in 20 eup, myeon, and dong districts to the chat room and encouraged the employees' efforts in COVID-19 response work.
The employees exchanged sincere conversations with Mayor Kang about their public service life, including particularly memorable or rewarding experiences, upsetting and difficult moments, and difficulties they usually could not talk about.
They also created an opportunity to understand generational cultural differences and broaden empathy through activities such as the 'Naju Tourist Spot Photo Quiz,' 'New Word Quiz,' and 'Kkondae Test.'
