Jungnang-gu Communicates with Residents through Large Online Collaborative Forum
On the 16th, the 'Online Cooperative Governance Grand Forum' was held, with voting on the selection of cooperative governance agendas ongoing until the 22nd... Introduction of projects in 5 sectors and real-time Q&A via comments to communicate about regional issues
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held the ‘Jungnang-gu Online Governance Grand Forum’ through the official Jungnang-gu YouTube channel on the 16th, and will conduct voting on the selection of governance agendas until the 22nd.
The ‘Governance Grand Forum’ is part of ‘Governance Jungnang of Communication and Participation,’ one of the five major achievement goals of the 7th local government administration, serving as a platform to discuss various local issues with residents and discover governance agendas essential to the district.
This event provided guidance on projects in five sectors: economy and jobs, education and culture, urban development and construction, welfare and health, and governance foundation, followed by a real-time Q&A session through comments.
Previously, the district gathered opinions on important local issues from residents through governance campuses in 16 neighborhoods and governance committee subcommittees.
The main agendas include 15 items such as ▲urban agriculture creation and ecological environment designer training ▲creating shared spaces in our neighborhood ▲maintenance of walking trails with residents.
Based on the discovered agendas, the district will conduct voting on the selection of governance agendas through the ‘Seoul M-Voting’ website until the 22nd.
Additionally, through the Jungnang-gu Governance Council, the agendas discovered separately by neighborhood, subcommittee, and the governance grand forum will be comprehensively reviewed, and the final agendas to be reflected in the ‘2021 Local Community Innovation Plan’ will be selected.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “Residents are not objects but subjects of administration, so we will listen more closely to their voices,” adding, “We will create a governance Jungnang that communicates with residents through various channels such as governance campuses and the governance grand forum.”
