SH Corporation Launches 'Online Job Mentoring' for Youth Preparing for Employment
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Seoul Housing and Communities Corporation (SH Corporation) announced on the 15th that it participated in the 'Online Job Mentoring Lanseon Job Talk with Current Public Officials' held at the Seoul Volunteer Center.
The event was jointly conducted by six Seoul-related organizations, including SH Corporation. One Seoul public official from each field was matched with 4 to 6 university students on an online video platform, and a total of 9 sessions were held, each lasting 60 minutes.
SH Corporation stated, "This online mentoring was meaningful in that mentees could gain emotional stability through meeting other young people facing similar concerns, providing new vitality during the exhausting process of preparing to enter society." They added, "It was also an opportunity for mentors to reflect on their duties and reaffirm their initial intentions when joining the company."
A young participant in the mentoring said, "Since there are few opportunities to meet current professionals in civil engineering, I felt uncertain about my career preparation, but gaining various information about SH Corporation and the employment process helped me set my career direction."
