[Photo] Donation of T-shirt Sales Proceeds from 27 Businesses in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 9th, 27 businesses located in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, along with the Korea Club Culture Improvement Association, donated 3.5 million won from T-shirt sales proceeds to the Yongsan Welfare Foundation (Chairman Lee Sang-yong).
The 27 businesses operating based on music culture in Itaewon and the Korea Club Culture Improvement Association produced and sold 'Itaewon United' T-shirts both online and offline starting from the 15th of last month.
When purchasing T-shirts at offline stores in Itaewon, discounts were offered compared to the online store to encourage visits to Itaewon.
The Korea Club Culture Improvement Association and the 27 businesses in Itaewon stated, "50% of the T-shirt sales proceeds will be used to help vulnerable groups within Yongsan-gu, and the remaining amount will be provided to the 27 participating businesses struggling due to the impact of COVID-19. This event was held with the purpose of supporting both local residents and the Itaewon commercial district together."
