View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon City, Jeonbuk Province, is undertaking modernization of infrastructure to establish a sustainable livestock foundation.
On the 8th, the city announced that it will invest 892 million KRW in a project to modernize livestock facilities and equipment and promote quality enhancement.
The scale of Hanwoo cattle farming in the Namwon area is recorded as 34,547 heads raised by 871 farms, accounting for 8.9% of Jeonbuk and 1.0% nationwide, representing a significant portion of agricultural income.
Additionally, the appearance rate of premium beef (grade 1 or higher) has improved to 88.3%, increasing the competitiveness of quality.
Accordingly, Namwon City has decided to improve facilities and equipment to foster an advanced Hanwoo industry that responds to the global unlimited competition system and environmental changes in livestock farming.
This facility and equipment improvement project supports concentrated feed feeders, estrus detectors to improve conception rates, wells and drinking water quality improvement equipment for supplying high-quality drinking water, and CCTV installation for efficient barn management.
Furthermore, the project supports livestock product quality enhancers and immunity boosters to prevent diseases and improve productivity in Stanchon, focusing on enhancing the productivity and quality of Hanwoo cattle.
