Kim Hong-guk, Former Head of Traffic Broadcasting News Department, Appointed Spokesperson of Gyeonggi Province
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kim Hong-guk (55), former head of the TBS Traffic Broadcasting News Department, has been appointed as the spokesperson for Gyeonggi Province. Kim will receive his appointment letter on the 9th and begin his term.
Kim graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Architectural Engineering and earned a Ph.D. in International Politics from Kyonggi University.
Kim has worked at Munhwa Ilbo, served as the political editor at Newsis, economic editor at Views & News, and head of the news department at TBS Traffic Broadcasting. Since 2012, he has served as the spokesperson for the Korea Journalists Association's Korea Journalist Award. He is currently an editorial board member of Le Monde Diplomatique and a visiting professor at Daejin University. He also serves as vice president of the Korean Negotiation Society and the Korean Veterans Studies Association.
