12.85 Million Applicants for Gyeonggi-do Disaster Basic Income... 96.8%
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province's on-site application for the 'Disaster Basic Income,' which provides 100,000 KRW per person, will close on the 31st of this month.
As of the 4th, the number of applicants for Gyeonggi Province's Disaster Basic Income reached approximately 12.85 million, with an application rate of 96.8%. The total amount paid, including city and county disaster basic income, is 1.9999 trillion KRW.
Gyeonggi Province began accepting applications for the Disaster Basic Income online (credit card and debit card) starting April 9. Subsequently, from April 20, applications were expanded offline (prepaid card).
Online applications ended on April 30, and on-site prepaid card applications can be made until the 31st of this month at the administrative welfare centers in the applicant's registered address's eup, myeon, or dong, as well as at the local NongHyup branch in the jurisdiction of the registered address.
The Disaster Basic Income must be used within three months after approval, but applicants after June can only use it until August 31.
Those who applied by card and received a usage approval text message on April 11 must use all remaining balances by July 11, three months later.
