Two COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Galma-dong and Jeongnim-dong, Daejeon (Update)
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Two new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Daejeon.
According to Daejeon City on the 6th, one person in their 50s (#138) who was under self-quarantine in Galma-dong, Seo-gu, and one person in their 60s (#139) residing in Jeongnim-dong, Seo-gu, were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
The city is currently conducting an epidemiological investigation to trace the movements of the confirmed cases, and once the routes are identified, they will be disclosed on the city’s website.

Meanwhile, a woman in her 70s (#125) who was confirmed positive in Daejeon passed away the previous day. This is the second COVID-19 related death in the region. The woman had contact with confirmed case #88 and was diagnosed with COVID-19 on the 2nd. Upon admission to Chungnam National University Hospital, she showed signs of pneumonia.
