Jeonju Prison Correctional Council Water Delivery Ceremony for Inmates' Ice Use
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] The Jeonju Correctional Institution Correctional Council announced on the 5th that it has provided 30,000 bottles of ice water to help inmates living in isolation from the outside world.
The event was graced by the presence of Jeonju Correctional Institution Director Choi Byung-rok, staff members, and 30 executives including Lee Jae-dong, Chairman of the Correctional Council (Jinseong Monk, Head of Maisan Tapsa Temple and Executive Director of Taego Order Jeonbuk Diocese), and other officers.
Jeonju Correctional Institution Director Choi Byung-rok said, "We are grateful for the continuous support of rice cakes and bottled water for the inmates during the hot summer, and we will make sure today's water is well delivered to the inmates." He added, "I believe that through the correctional council's volunteer work, the inmates will cleanse their hearts with the words 'forgiveness' and 'reflection' and live well during their incarceration."
