Students from the Dongmyeong University Social Service Group are holding a themed discussion meeting to prevent traffic accidents involving the elderly.

A university student volunteer group created to prevent traffic accidents involving the elderly held an orientation to set their activity direction.
On the 1st, Dongmyung University’s volunteer group held an orientation for the unique volunteer team ‘No(老) Accident NO Accident’ aimed at preventing traffic accidents among the elderly in Busan’s Nam-gu district at the university’s main administration building.
Park Soon-bok, education coordinator at the Nam-gu Volunteer Center, guided the operation of the volunteer program. Team A discussed identifying causes and solutions for pedestrian traffic accident hotspots, Team B conducted a survey and solutions for elderly protection zones, Team C promoted the elderly driver license surrender system, and Team D examined the traffic accident exposure status of elderly people collecting recyclables. The members agreed on their activity directions and shared opinions to continue until November.
They will soon head to the field in July. A total of 26 enrolled students will go out to the field to conduct investigations and problem-solving activities according to their themes.
