Dobong-gu, Disability Awareness Improvement Contest
Anyone in the district can submit written, illustrated, or media works related to disability awareness improvement by July 31
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dobong-gu (Mayor Lee Dong-jin) is holding a contest for disability awareness improvement titled "We Are Truly Good Shoulder Buddies."
Now in its 7th year, the "Disability Awareness Improvement Contest" is organized by the Dobong-gu Community Welfare Council's Disability Division and the Dobong-gu Office's Senior and Disabled Department to eliminate prejudice and stereotypes about disabilities.
The contest theme is "Dobong Where People with Disabilities and Non-Disabled Live Together in Harmony." There are no specific restrictions as long as the topic relates to disability awareness.
The contest categories are ▲Writing (essays, reviews, poetry) ▲Drawing (posters, watercolors, comics) ▲Media (photos, videos).
The submission period is until July 31. Anyone residing in Dobong-gu or students and workers attending schools located in Dobong-gu (elementary, middle, high school, or university) can participate.
Judging will be conducted by the organizing department and related experts based on artistic quality, originality, and communicative power. A total of 25 winners will be awarded, including Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Merit Award, and Encouragement Award, with certificates presented to the recipients. The results will be posted on the district website and individually notified in September.
