Gurye-gun Holds Emergency Meeting on COVID-19 Measures
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] On the 2nd, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it held an emergency countermeasure meeting on the 1st due to the recent surge of COVID-19 infections in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
At the emergency countermeasure meeting, about 20 senior officials from the county office, including County Governor Kim Soon-ho, attended to review quarantine measures.
County Governor Kim Soon-ho instructed to send emergency disaster messages urging people to refrain from visiting areas with confirmed cases and to promote a remote village broadcasting project to quickly inform disaster situations and information. Additionally, he urged to create an atmosphere of mask-wearing in public transportation facilities, senior centers, indoor sports facilities, and to thoroughly promote social distancing in daily life.
Concerns about group infections and departmental support measures for residents' difficulties were also discussed.
The county promoted preventive behavior guidelines using leaflets, banners, and SNS. Furthermore, it is actively carrying out preventive administration by securing masks and hand sanitizers and distributing them to residents in advance.
