GS25 Surpasses 200,000 Subscribers on YouTube Channel
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] GS25 announced on the 2nd that its official YouTube channel has surpassed 200,000 subscribers, becoming the first convenience store brand in the industry to reach this milestone.
GS25's official YouTube channel exceeded 100,000 subscribers on February 22nd, and in just about four months, it surpassed 200,000 subscribers at 10:30 AM on the 1st.
GS25 attributes the increase in subscribers to actively using the YouTube channel not as an advertising platform but as a communication channel to engage and build empathy with customers.
GS25's YouTube video content features product planners (MDs). The MDs appear in mukbangs or respond to sharp customer questions, explaining product features, usage tips, and even behind-the-scenes stories of the development process, which has received great responses.
GS25 also planned and presented an online fan meeting through YouTube content for customers who found face-to-face communication difficult due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The online fan meeting featured broadcaster Minah Kim and Go Won, a member of the girl group 'Idalui Sonyeo' (LOONA). GS25 is preparing a second online fan meeting with Go Won.
Additionally, GS25 focuses on continuously delivering content that exceeds customer expectations, such as video cartoons featuring the triangular kimbap character 'Samgimi' experiencing episodes in convenience stores, and special collaboration videos with celebrities.
To celebrate surpassing 200,000 subscribers, GS25 is holding a special event until the 14th of this month, offering prizes such as luxury hotel vouchers and GS25 mobile gift certificates to subscribers of the GS25 official YouTube channel.
