COVID-19 Case Confirmed at KT Gwanghwamun EAST Building... Building Closed, All Employees Shift to Remote Work
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] A confirmed case of COVID-19 occurred at the KT Gwanghwamun East Building (new building), leading KT to decide on the 2nd to close both the East and West buildings. This is the first time a COVID-19 case has been confirmed at KT's Seoul headquarters.
On the 2nd, a KT official stated, "An employee working in the East Building was in close contact with a confirmed case yesterday and underwent testing, and received confirmation of infection this morning. We decided to close not only the East Building but also the West Building and have all employees work from home," adding, "Since many employees commute between the East and West buildings, we decided on a full closure."
