Smilegate Transitions to 'IP Management Council' System... Seong Junho Appointed Chairman
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Smilegate Group announced on the 2nd that it has transitioned its management system from the 'Group Board of Directors' to the 'Group IP (Intellectual Property) Management Council' and appointed Sung Junho, CEO of Smilegate Holdings, as the chairman of the management council.
Smilegate Group explained, "Through the transition to an IP management council system, we will strengthen the expertise of decision-making within the group and establish a strategic decision-making system that quickly and transparently reflects the voices from the business field."
Since January 2019, when Sung was appointed CEO of Smilegate Holdings, the group's control tower, he has been coordinating major issues among the group's affiliates.
Smilegate Group stated, "With Chairman Sung's appointment as the chairman of the Group IP Management Council, we expect to create a foundation that maximizes cooperation among affiliates and enables the group to rapidly leap forward as a 'respected global IP prestigious company.'"
