Korea Exchange Sponsors Sterilized Water Generators to COVID-19 Social Welfare Centers in Seoul and Busan

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] As the COVID-19 pandemic prolonged, the Korea Exchange donated equipment that mass-produces sterilized water used for personal hygiene and quarantine to welfare centers in Seoul and regional communities.
The Korea Exchange announced on the 29th that it donated two sterilized water generators to the Senior Welfare Center in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, and the Yongho Comprehensive Welfare Center in Nam-gu, Busan on the 25th and 17th, respectively. The purpose was to support vulnerable groups in managing personal hygiene with sterilized water amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
Through the installed sterilized water generators, approximately 5,000 vulnerable individuals such as elderly living alone and disabled people who use the welfare centers annually will be provided with sterilized water free of charge on a regular basis.

Previously, the Exchange had supported donations worth about 420 million KRW, including 40,000 masks and 10,000 hand sanitizers for vulnerable groups such as children from single-parent families and elderly living alone, as well as 100 tablet PCs and 206 laptops for online classes related to COVID-19.
