Mirae Asset Daewoo, Industry's First to Introduce 'Easy-to-Understand Product Descriptions'
Increase Customer Visibility of Product Risks by Displaying Key Information from Product Manuals as Images
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Hwajeong] Mirae Asset Daewoo announced on the 29th that it will introduce an ‘Easy-to-Understand Product Guide’ so that customers can more easily and intuitively recognize the investment risks of each product.
The newly introduced Easy-to-Understand Product Guide features the use of images to display key information such as product-specific risk ratings and the possibility of principal loss, which customers must know, thereby enhancing customers’ understanding of product risks. The existing product guides placed risk information on the back of the guide or in small print, causing inconvenience to customers.
In particular, the Easy-to-Understand Product Guide was redesigned to improve visibility and allow actual customers to easily check key information, based on feedback from the Mirae Asset Daewoo Customer Panel, which has been in operation since 2017, that there were difficulties in grasping key information in the existing product guides. Employees proposed ideas to enhance visibility accordingly.
Mirae Asset Daewoo will first introduce the Easy-to-Understand Product Guide for self-produced products such as trust, wrap, and bond core guides, and plans to expand it to derivative-linked securities and external private placement product risks in the future.
