Yoo Jin-seop, Mayor of Jeongeup, Jeonbuk, held a press conference on the 26th at the City Hall Disaster Safety Situation Room to mark the 2nd anniversary of his inauguration for the 7th term of direct election, revealing achievements so far and future plans.
Mayor Yoo emphasized, “With citizen happiness and regional development as the top priorities, I will once again put all my efforts into vigorous progress during the remaining term,” adding, “Since the launch of the 7th term, remarkable achievements have been made in establishing Jeongeup as a representative economic city in the southwest region and a center of innovative growth.”
He continued, “The pledge projects, which consist of 82 projects across five sectors as promises to the citizens, are progressing smoothly with a completion rate close to 50%,” and said, “In the remaining second half of the term, we will prepare detailed implementation plans for the pledge projects, conduct thorough reviews to produce visible results, and share those achievements with the citizens.”

He also stated, “Despite many difficulties over the past two years, including COVID-19 and rapidly changing domestic and international situations, I was able to lead the city administration according to my convictions thanks to the trust and support of the citizens,” and requested, “I ask for your continued special interest and warm support going forward.”
