Establishment of a 'Smart Office' for Coupang Developers in Pangyo Valley
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] A smart office for Coupang developers has been established in Pangyo, known as Korea's Silicon Valley. On the 26th, Coupang announced the opening of the 'Coupang Smart Work Station' for developers in the heart of Pangyo Technovalley. Coupang developers can freely choose and use the office they prefer between Jamsil and Pangyo according to their personal schedules.
The 'Coupang Smart Work Station' is designed with an open-plan layout to maximize work efficiency and can accommodate up to 100 people working simultaneously. The new office is equipped with motion desks with adjustable height at every seat, the latest monitors, and meeting rooms capable of video conferencing, providing spaces for developers' work and relaxation.
Along with the opening of the new office, Coupang plans to accelerate the recruitment of outstanding developers. Currently, Coupang is conducting a large-scale recruitment for experienced technical positions. Applicants must have at least 5 years of experience in the relevant job category. Final hiring is confirmed through separate screening processes such as interviews and coding tests depending on each job category. Notably, for this public recruitment program, Coupang will provide a signing bonus of at least 50 million KRW as a congratulatory payment to successful candidates. Coupang also has specialized offices for innovative service development in global talent hubs such as Silicon Valley in the U.S., Seattle, Shanghai, and Beijing.
