Gurye-gun Holds Ceremony Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Korean War
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] On the 25th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that it held the 70th anniversary ceremony of the June 25th War at Seomjin Art Hall, attended by about 100 members of local veterans' organizations and heads of institutions and organizations.
This ceremony was simplified and conducted in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines such as temperature checks for attendees, masks, and social distancing in daily life. The entire county united in heart to pledge peace and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula and expressed respect and gratitude to the veterans who protected the country through sacrifice and dedication during the June 25th War.
In particular, this year, silver commemorative medals of appreciation were awarded to all members who are still alive to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the June 25th War and to thank the veterans for their sacrifice and dedication.
Kim Beom-rok, auditor of the June 25th War Veterans Association, and Lim Seung-mu, member of the June 25th War Veterans Association, received commendations as exemplary contributors in recognition of their patriotism and contributions to regional development.
