Gimhae City Opens Third Branch of Tourism Market 'Gimhae On Gime' at Gaatepamark
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 25th that it will open the third branch of the tourism market 'Gimhae On Gime' at the Gaya Theme Park, a representative tourist destination of the Gaya Kingdom, on the 27th.
The 'Gimhae On Gime' Gaya Theme Park branch is composed of an exhibition gallery and a souvenir shop in a space prepared by remodeling the Indo Hall within the park.
Here, visitors can find over 40 types of items including various crafts such as the Gaya snow globe, inspired by the National Treasure No. 275 horse-riding figure-shaped pottery excavated in Gimhae, as well as city tourism souvenirs like eco-bags and umbrellas featuring characters of King Suro and Queen Suro.
The city plans to expand the product lineup to include items produced by social enterprises and local self-support centers. The Gimhae Cultural Foundation, which is entrusted with the operation, will soon introduce unique products related to the 'Painters of the Gaya Kingdom' performance group, available exclusively at the third branch.
The tourism market 'Gimhae On Gime' started with the first branch at Gimhae Intercity Bus Terminal in 2017, followed by the second branch in Bongha Village, Jinyeong, last December, making this the third branch.
