Located in the Samdong-dong area of Uichang-gu, the Changwon Arboretum spans 104,700㎡ and features the largest cactus greenhouse in Korea, along with propagation and cultivation facilities, exhibition facilities, and landscaping installations. With a total of 1,205 species and 230,000 trees planted, it has been designated as Gyeongnam's third public arboretum.
The Tourism Promotion Committee members who toured the facilities praised the Changwon Arboretum not only as a healing space for local residents but also as an attractive destination capable of drawing external tourists. They noted that when linked with nearby tourist facilities, it is worthy of being a representative tourist spot of Changwon, and suggested development as a wedding photo shoot location utilizing the scenic views.
