According to the county, this emergency support fund decision is aimed at protecting the livelihoods of taxi and freight transport workers who are struggling due to a decrease in passengers caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The support targets a total of 334 taxi and freight transport workers headquartered in Muju-gun, with 500,000 won per person, totaling 167 million won to be distributed.
The support fund will be distributed in the form of 'Muju Love Gift Certificates,' which can only be used within Muju-gun to revitalize the local economy.
For taxi transport workers, applications will be accepted from the 29th, and for freight transport workers from the 1st of next month, with payments made in two phases. During the serious COVID-19 phase, that is, before February 23, transport workers must be individual or corporate business operators headquartered in Muju-gun and reside in Jeonbuk Province.
Individual transport workers must apply in person, but if a proxy applies, a power of attorney must be submitted along with the application form. In the case of corporate companies, transport workers can apply collectively through the company.
