Car and Home Appliances Discounts... 'Korea Together Sale' Held from the 26th

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The discount event "Korea Together Sale," planned to overcome consumption contraction due to COVID-19, economic downturn, and economic crisis, will be held for a total of 17 days starting from the 26th.
Six government ministries, including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, announced on the 25th that the Korea Together Sale will be held for 17 days starting from the 26th. The Korea Together Sale is a large-scale discount and promotional event covering both online and offline distribution channels, involving all economic players such as 633 traditional markets nationwide, about 5,000 neighborhood supermarkets, 35 large manufacturing and distribution companies including department stores, large marts, home appliances, and automobiles, as well as the livestock and fisheries industries, dining, and tourism sectors.
First, in the automobile and tire sectors, Ssangyong Motor will offer discounts to customers who purchase any vehicle model either in lump sum or installment payments throughout July, and Kumho Tire will offer up to 35% discounts on tires. Hankook Tire & Technology will provide additional tire giveaways and discount coupons through a roulette game.
Large home appliance companies also offer various benefits. Samsung Electronics will provide additional benefits beyond the existing 10% rebate for purchasing top-efficiency home appliances from the 26th until the 12th of next month, and will hold a raffle for customers who purchase event models to win prizes such as 8K QLED TVs, Bespoke refrigerators, and Grande AI (artificial intelligence) dryers. LG Electronics will hold a special exhibition featuring hit products from the first half of this year and will sell certain models in limited quantities.
Cuchen will offer up to 15% discounts on new rice cookers and up to 30% discounts on top-efficiency rice cookers. Cuckoo plans to sell the Twin Pressure Master Chef 6-cup rice cooker at a 12% discount.
Additionally, world-renowned soccer star Park Ji-sung will serve as the Brand K ambassador. An untact (non-face-to-face) fan signing event is planned at the on-site event held at COEX, Seoul, from the 10th to the 12th of next month.
The event will also feature a mini K-pop performance, as well as live broadcasts of the latest trending product introduction programs "Freehan Market 10" and "Get It Beauty." Furthermore, a healing event will be held for medical staff and quarantine officials who have dedicated themselves to overcoming COVID-19.

Kang Seongcheon, Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, emphasized that the "Korea Together Sale" will be an opportunity to build a new online sales domain called "K-Sale" by linking non-face-to-face live commerce with "K brands" such as K-pop, K-beauty, and K-quarantine.
