Naju-si Enhances 'Accessibility and Convenience' with Website Revamp
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 25th that it will launch a full-scale service by promoting the renovation of its internet and mobile homepage centered on user convenience, allowing easy access to city administration news at a glance.
This homepage renovation provides an integrated menu service that enhances accessibility and convenience by consolidating and merging department- and task-specific homepages around the main homepage.
In particular, it features the establishment of a ‘responsive web design’ that automatically optimizes the size according to the screen specifications on various smart devices as well as personal computers.
The internet homepage is largely divided into three pages: main screen, city administration news, and civil service.
First, the main screen vividly displays videos of tourist attractions such as the vast views of Naju’s original downtown and innovation city seen from the sky, Geumseonggwan, and Bitgaram Observatory.
It also focuses on strengthening online communication functions with citizens by placing links to the 7th term election pledges, citizen petitions, and citizen discussion rooms prominently on the screen.
At the top left, links are arranged for cultural tourism, Naju City Council, Agricultural Technology Center, Health Center homepages, as well as the ‘Open Mayor’s Office,’ a communication channel between the mayor and citizens, and ‘Data Naru,’ public data that allows a glance at various city policies through infographics.
On the right side of the homepage, weather information such as fine dust, organizational charts and contact information of departments and offices, budget, statistics, and weekly event pop-up windows also catch the eye.
The city renewed the mobile homepage by applying the latest trend of responsive slide methods in response to changes in the IT environment such as the increase in smart device usage, and enhanced user convenience by providing a search bar on the first screen.
