Shinhan Bank Signs MOU with Gwangju Metropolitan City to Promote Foreign Investment Attraction

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Shinhan Bank announced on the 25th that it has signed a tripartite business agreement to establish a mutual strategic partnership with Gwangju Metropolitan City and Gwangju Technopark to revitalize foreign investment attraction in Gwangju.
Shinhan Bank, Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Gwangju Technopark will cooperate to support foreign-invested companies with global innovation capabilities and expand foreign investment attraction, aiming to revitalize the local economy and create jobs following the designation of four areas in Gwangju Metropolitan City as economic free zones.
Through this agreement, Shinhan Bank will utilize its global network of 153 branches in 20 countries to cooperate in attracting companies in key local industries to Gwangju Metropolitan City and provide financial and consulting services to foreign-invested companies.
Gwangju Metropolitan City will provide various administrative services such as creating an investment environment and investment incentives to activate overseas investment attraction in key local industries, while Gwangju Technopark will support the use of production base technology infrastructure and research and development (R&D) activities of foreign-invested companies in the region.
