Kim Jae-seop "Stop Hypocritical Equality and Deception"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] The United Future Party has taken aim at the issue of direct employment by Incheon Airport Corporation. As Incheon Airport Corporation announced that it would convert 1,902 security screening personnel into security guards and directly employ them, strong opposition is currently rising, especially among young people.
Seong Il-jong, a United Future Party emergency committee member, said at the joint meeting of emergency committee members and senior lawmakers held at the National Assembly on the 24th, “The youth of the Republic of Korea are in despair. Where has the world without privilege and unfairness gone?” He criticized, “Was President Moon Jae-in’s performance of comforting public service exam takers while eating cup rice in Noryangjin a staged show?”
Seong said, “Equality of opportunity is the right of young people and an obligation the state must guarantee, and it is a value specified in the Constitution,” adding, “The regime’s behavior of burning the ladder of social mobility is no different from a criminal act,” and “Young people are suffering damage they have never experienced before. Is this a country?”
Kim Jae-seop, a United Future Party emergency committee member, said, “All public service exam takers must have screamed. That scream was probably a cry of agony,” and “The youth who suddenly became victims are frustrated and disillusioned. This regime should stop hypocritical equality and cease deceiving young people.”
Jung Won-seok, a United Future Party emergency committee member, pointed out, “Progressivism that has lost fairness and justice is no longer progressivism but a malignancy and deep-rooted evil in our society,” and “The hypocrisy and incompetence of the Moon Jae-in regime, which has reigned as a new vested interest, are proving in various fields that it can no longer help the lives of young people and society.”

On the same day, Ha Tae-kyung, a United Future Party lawmaker, announced that he would propose the “Anti-Lotto Employment Act,” which requires public institutions to adopt an open recruitment method similar to that of national public officials. Ha said, “Incheon Airport should humbly acknowledge its mistakes, withdraw the lotto-style permanent employment, and apologize to the youth of the Republic of Korea,” adding, “We will definitely prevent Incheon Airport’s lotto employment so that opportunities and rewards based on effort can be fairly realized.”
